About this section:

During the fall of my junior year, I wrote for the UM chapters of two online publications: Spoon University and The Black Sheep.  Spoon is dedicated to sharing recipes, restaurant reviews, and any other food-related information that might be relevant for a college reader, while Black Sheep is a satirical "news" source that has published such articles as, "The Halloween 2013 Drinking Game," and "What Type of Drunk Are You?: DINOSAUR EDITION"  (both of pieces I wrote).

In all honesty, the time I spent writing for Spoon and Black Sheep was a crazy, hectic blur, but was one of the happiest periods of my life.  That semester, I wrote at least three pieces a week, two for Spoon and one for Black Sheep, and -- thanks to the Internet -- people I knew read them.  Some people even enjoyed them.  And while neither of these jobs paid me for me work, they both gave me a renewed sense of faith in my writing abilities.  I'd thought about pursuing a career in writng for my whole life, but was never sure if my skills at writing English papers would translate into other genres.  These two jobs made me realize how much potential I posess as a writer, and for that I'll be forever grateful.

I've included links to a few of my favorite Black Sheep and Spoon pieces below.  If you're interested in seeing more, click on the logos to a list see my entire body of work for either site.
